The Sparrow and A Spanish Moon
boldly face the sun 
and watch it sink below the horizon
The moon rises to the occasion and
carries the torch through the night
while wings rest

The images of the sparrows were taken in Zuheros, a beautiful, small, white mountain village in the province of Córdoba, Spain where olive groves stretch from horizon to horizon.  The full moon held me captive as she rose over the Guadalquivir at Puerto Gelves, Seville.
